How to Deposit via UPI: A Step-by-Step Guide for a Smooth Experience

Modified on Fri, 11 Oct at 5:31 PM

Depositing funds into your wallet through UPI is designed to be simple  but there are a few cases where things might not go as planned. In this guide, we’ll walk you through three common scenarios and explain what you should do in each case.

Case 1: Deposit via Your Whitelisted UPI ID (Success)

When you initiate a deposit using your whitelisted UPI ID, the process is straightforward. Refer to the screenshot attached below:

  • Enter your UPI ID and complete the payment.
  • Once the transaction is processed, you will see the status as "Completed" on your deposit transaction interface.

  • The funds will immediately reflect in your wallet.

Case 2: Deposit Using a Different UPI ID from the one whitelisted with us. (Whitelisting Required)

Sometimes, you may accidentally use a UPI ID that is not whitelisted but belongs to you. Here’s what happens in such cases:

  • After initiating the deposit with an unwhitelisted UPI ID, the transaction may not reflect immediately.
  • We request you to wait for 15 minutes, after which a "Help" button will appear on your deposit transaction interface.
  • Click on the "Help" button and fill in the verification details, i.e the UTR number from which you attempted the deposit.

  • You will be asked for verification. Enter your UTR number for verification. If it successffully verified your new upi id will be automatically successfully added and verified. Once done the amount will be reflected in your wallet in 15 minutes. Please refer to the screenshot attached below.

Case 3: Deposit Using UPI ID not belonging to you.  (Refund Process)

If you attempt to deposit from a UPI ID that does not belong to you, the process is slightly different:

  • Similar to Case 2, a "Help" button will appear after 15 minutes on the deposit transaction interface.

  • Upon clicking, you’ll be asked to provide details for verification i.e UTR number If the UPI ID used belongs to a bank that does not match your KYC information (i.e., it’s someone else’s account), the verification will fail.

  • After the failed verification, a new window will appear, guiding you through the refund process. Fill in the account number, IFSC Code and attach bank statement.

  • Please fill in the necessary details, and we request your patience for 48- 72, as the amount will be successfully refunded back to the source bank account.

Important Reminder:

For the smoothest and fastest experience, we strongly encourage you to deposit using your whitelisted UPI ID. This helps avoid delays, verification steps, and ensures the funds are instantly available in your wallet.
