Market Orders

Modified on Thu, 19 Jun at 2:47 PM

A market order is an order type that executes instantly at the best available price in the order book. It is ideal when speed of execution is more important than controlling the exact price or quantity.

 How Does It Work?

  • Your order matches with the best bids or asks currently available in the order book.

  • The final execution price may vary based on the order book depth at that moment.

  • As long as there’s enough liquidity, the order will be filled immediately.

When Should You Use a Market Order?

Use a market order when:

  • You want instant execution

  • You’re willing to accept some price fluctuation

  • You don’t need to set a specific price

 Example

Let’s say you want to allocate 10% of your wallet to buy BTC.
You place a market order, and it gets filled instantly at the prevailing market prices, without needing to set a specific price.
